New Alumni Services

Your journey with ASC Career Success doesn't end at graduation. We're committed to your long-term success and offer continued career support after you earn your degree.

Here's how we will continue supporting you along your career journey:

The Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success offers a variety of services and resources to help with your job search. This is a benefit to you as a recent graduate of our college, so please take advantage of it!

Career and professional development tools and platforms:

  • Handshake: By using your Buckeyemail, you can continue utilizing your Handshake account to search and apply for jobs and internships tailored to your academic background and career aspirations.  Other ways to leverage Handshake: learn about events, like career fairs, taking place virtually or on campus, and schedule a career coaching appointment.  Issues accessing your Handshake account?  Contact: handshake@osu.edu.

  • Big Interview:  Big Interview provides comprehensive online training and practice to enhance interview skills and boost confidence. Its features include mock interview practice, written and video curriculum, and tools for sharing recordings for feedback. With customizable question sets and resume assistance, it's a valuable resource for mastering the job search process. If you have difficulty using these platforms please contact the Assistant Dean of the Career Services office, Tricia Zelaya-Leon on “zelaya-leon.1@osu.edu” and she will arrange for personal support for your use of the platforms.

  • Beyond Graduate School/Beyond the Professoriate: Beyond the Professoriate and Beyond Graduate School, platforms help graduate students, postdocs, and PhDs successfully transition into nonacademic careers. Users will find on-demand lessons, workbooks, and live webinars that are specifically designed to meet the unique professional development needs of master’s students, doctoral students, and postdocs.

Individualized career coaching:

  • Alumni can schedule appointments via Handshake with our experienced career coaches who can guide you on career exploration, job search navigation, resume and cover letter writing, and interview skills development.  You retain access to this service for four terms (two years) after your date of graduation.

Connect with employers at events:

  • As an alum, you can attend any of the career fairs or expos we host during the year.  These events allow you to network with potential employers and explore diverse career options.  For more information about our upcoming fairs, visit our events page HERE.

Lhota Office of Alumni Career Management:
