Partner Resources
It's never too early or too late for students to begin their career journey. Encourage them to start exploring our resources today. Early in their academic journey, the Career Studio is an excellent place for general orientation and guidance. Our Career Fairs and expos are another great way for students to start their relationship with Career Success. At the bottom of this page, we have a list of all the Career Fairs and Expos we will be hosting this year.
Career Studio - Drop-in services available any ASC student. The Career Studio provides resume reviews, profile photos, job and internship search assistance, cover letter help, and career coaching appointment scheduling.
Handshake - Handshake connects students to coaching, career development resources, career-related events, fairs, employers and jobs, internships and other career-building opportunities. What's more, by creating a strong Handshake profile and using the platform regularly, students can optimize the algorithm , helping to ensure that Handshake presents them with increasingly relevant content. Career Fairs - Our Career Fairs and Expos connect students with employers from a wide range of industries and fields.
Focus2 - Guides users through a reliable, intuitive career and education decision-making model to help them choose a college, select a major, explore occupations, make informed career decisions and take action in their career development.
What Can I Do With My Major - Website featuring 106 major profiles with information on common career paths, types of employers that hire in the field, and strategies to maximize opportunities.
Schedule with a Career Coach - Our Career Coaches offer support and advice to students as they embark on their career journey.
Searching: Ensure students complete their Handshake profile for better job matching. The Career Studio offers a great starting point, and advisors can also recommend career coaching appointments and attending career fairs and events to expand their network. We have provided a list of Career Fairs at the bottom of the page.

Career Accelerator Fund - With awards up to $5,000, the Career Accelerator Fund is designed to open doors to invaluable professional opportunities, empowering your growth and enhancing your career trajectory.
The College of Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success is pleased to announce the release of 4 new career development courses designed to help students map out career plans, prepare for internships, build professional skills, and work directly with industry and alumni partners. ARTSSCI 2000: Designing Your Career Experience

This course offers a unique opportunity to receive one-on-one career guidance from OSU alumni . Engage in real-world experiences such as the Diversity Case Study Competition, and learn to maximize career-building opportunities, including internships, networking, research, and leadership roles. The course connects you with employers and explores diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) issues in the workplace.
ARTSSCI 3000: Designing Your Life After College
Credits: 2
Focus on refining your individual career goals and gain the competitive edge needed for success in the job market. This course has an independent study-like structure, allowing you to earn a micro-credential of your choice—highly sought after by today's recruiters.
With Big Interview, students can learn about interviewing best practices, build strong responses, practice for the most commonly asked questions as well as industry specific questions sets and receive AI-driven feedback.
