The Center for Career and Professional Success in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University is excited to welcome two outstanding professionals to our team: Allison Adkins and Kat Butto. Both bring unique expertise and a shared commitment to empowering Buckeyes on their career journeys.

Allison Adkins joins us as a Career Coach, supporting students exploring careers in media and communications and guiding first-year students as they transition to Ohio State. With more than five years of career coaching experience and nearly a decade in higher education, Allison blends her passion for student success with a strong background in career development and educational technology. She earned her Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Iowa State University and enjoys creating interactive workshops, collaborating with faculty, and helping students clarify their goals during times of transition. Originally from Northeast Ohio, Allison is thrilled to bring her expertise back to her home state. Outside of work, she loves discovering new coffee shops, caring for her plants, and spending time with family and pets.

 

Kat Butto joins the team as Events Senior Coordinator, returning to her alma mater as an Ohio State Arts and Sciences alum. Kat brings a strong background in financial practices and event management, along with a deep commitment to connecting ASC students with career-development opportunities across Ohio and beyond. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Legal Foundations of Society from Ohio State. Kat’s enthusiasm for creating meaningful experiences for students will help strengthen our events and programming.
