The Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success is excited to travel with a limited number of students to Washington, D.C. over Spring Break 2025 (Monday, March 10-Thursday, March 14, 2025), focusing on careers highlighting the intersection of the sciences with government, education, and science!
National career immersion experiences are an opportunity to engage with local employers, alumni, and sightseeing in a new city. Immersion Days consist of site tours, as well as panels, presentations, and networking opportunities with recruiters and hiring managers, many of whom are actively looking to hire Ohio State Arts and Sciences Talent. The Immersion Experience costs $200/person, and includes hotels, round-trip air transportation, attendance at a regional alumni mixer, some meals, and visits with local employers and alumni.
Employers include:
- The U.S. Library of Congress
- The Smithsonian Office of Academic Appointments and Internships (National Museum of American History)
- The United States Botanical Garden
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
- The US Patent and Trademark Office
Employers are subject to change, with more to come in the coming months!
This experience is recommended for students interested in science, research, education, and STEM policy. Any undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences, regardless of major, is encouraged to apply.
Spots for this experience are limited. This experience has a priority deadline of Sunday, November 24th. The remaining spaces will be filled by the application deadline of Thursday, December 5th, with the final determination to come by Wednesday, December 13th.
