Science, Health & Wellness Career Fair Connects 350+ Students With Top Employers

On October 7th, The Ohio State University’s Center for Career Success hosted its 2025 Science, Health & Wellness Career Fair at the Ohio Union, connecting students and recent graduates with networking opportunities and the university’s career services. The event was held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Performance Hall.
Over 25 employers participated in the event, representing 8 corporate agencies, 15 non-profit and government organizations, and 3 Ohio State university departments. Notable employers included Andelyn Biosciences, City Year, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and a number of State of Ohio sectors. Also in attendance were 5 universities, including Ohio State’s very own Colleges of Pharmacy and Social Work as well as the Wexner Medical Center.
A total of 379 students were in attendance, representing a range of disciplines. The event was especially popular among those majoring in Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, and Chemical Engineering. Many also utilized the on-site, drop-in resume review services. 28 received feedback from student peer career coaches working with the Arts & Sciences Career Studio and another 12 spoke with industry experts in the Pre-Health and Pre-Graduate services.
Reflecting on the fair, event organizer Shirley Wu, Assistant Director of Industry Connections for the College of Arts & Sciences, stated: “I'm proud to have supported a diverse community of students through the Science, Health & Wellness Career Fair. Since our rebranding in 2024 to better reflect careers in holistic wellness and social impact, my mission has been to ensure every student, regardless of background or experience, feels welcomed and empowered to participate in the fair and benefit from our resources. As career exploration and experiential learning become increasingly vital to student success, I’ve worked to make the fair a central hub for meaningful resources. I’m especially proud of the resume reviews and pre-health and pre-graduate school coaching opportunities available on-site—I know that finding opportunities for personalized guidance and knowing where to go can be especially challenging at a large university like Ohio State. I hoped to be very intentional in showcasing a wide range of careers and pathways across the sciences, and I’m excited to continue both broadening the scope of opportunities included and expanding our reach and impact in the years ahead.”
We extend our thanks to all participating employers, students, and career professionals for making this annual fair a success. Be sure to mark our upcoming Arts, Creative, and Design Fair on your calendar for Friday, November 7 at the Ohio Union. This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Great Hall – a great opportunity for students interested in sharing their portfolios and exploring career opportunities in the arts.
