About the Fair
This career fair is focused on positions in the sciences, and has newly expanded to encompass the fields of healthcare, wellness, and social impact. There will be a large number of private, non-profit, governmental sector companies recruiting for interns, R&D developers, chemists, microbiologists, lab technicians & scientists, pharmaceutical researchers & sales, medical consulting & sales, medical researchers, medical scribes, data scientists, software analysts, and many other related technical careers.
Students interested in the science or healthcare industries can also expect opportunities in technology, marketing, communications, business, data analytics, and engineering.
In addition to the many employers on-site, on-site career coaching opportunities are available, allowing students to receive targeted support and guidance toward becoming competitive in biotechnology, ecological, healthcare, and academic research spaces. Pre-health and other health-exploration students can anticipate opportunities to connect with local and regional healthcare organizations, pre-health advisors, and a variety of OSU Colleges broadening the fields of health and social impact.
Whether you're seeking employment, an internship, or simply exploring your opportunities, this event is a fantastic opportunity to grow the skills and connections that will lead to your success.
Preparing for the Fair
Advanced research via Handshake is recommended to determine if a particular employer of interest will be in attendance and a good fit for your career advancement. Keep checking back, as employers will be registering up to the event. You can also make an appointment via Handshake with a Career Coach to get assistance on your resume, interviewing skills, and/or job searches, or drop into our ASC Career Studio!
Our ASC Career Studio serves as a dynamic drop-in space where all ASC students can stop by without an appointment for on-the-go career guidance from their peers. Student Peer Career Coaches can answer questions about resumes, cover letters, job or internship searches, and even help set up one-on-one appointments with a professional Career Coach. The Career Studio is open for unlimited visits Monday through Friday, located just inside the East entrance of Denney Hall.
Attending employers seek to fill full-time, entry-level positions, as well as summer/year-long internships. We recommend you bring the following when you attend:
- Current Students: A valid BuckID is required to enter the fair on the day of the event. Recent graduates: bring a valid ID.
- While resumes are not required, we strongly recommend that attendees come with 10-20 copies of their resumes. Need help with your resume? Check with your college's career services to make a coaching appointment: https://asccareersuccess.osu.edu/undergraduate-students/personalize-your-career-plan/career-coaching.
Preparing for On-site Career Coaching
Interested in taking part?
Bring copies of your resume and any supplemental materials for the review. Students interested in receiving Pre-Health and Pre-Academic coaching may find it helpful to bring a copy of their Advising Report and draft Personal Statements in addition to their resume.
When you arrive at the fair, please check in with our helpful staff in the back of the Performance Hall! We'll ask for your phone number to provide you with text updates about your wait time. While you wait, we encourage you to connect with our many employers and organization partners in attendance. You'll receive a text notification when it's time for your review. If you’re in the middle of a great conversation, don’t worry—we will hold your spot for a few minutes!
No advanced registration is necessary for this opportunity.
This event is delivered in partnership with the Buckeye Biotechnology Association.
Buckeye Biotechnology Association is the first student-run organization to promote unity among life science, engineering, and business disciplines. The organization seeks to connect undergraduate students to graduate students, faculty, and area business leaders through a formal mentoring program and bi-weekly programming.
