The Cleveland Clinic has partnered with various medical/health schools across Ohio to bring in pre-health students during their gap years to work at the Cleveland Clinic. This program offers full-time, paid positions in clinical settings following one's baccalaureate graduation, as opposed to volunteering or shadowing. Participating students gain robust experience, continued networking, and educational opportunities to help with their health professional applications. All of their Clinical Associates from the last cycle have already been successfully admitted into medical school for 2025, thanks to the robust experiences and support they receive as a part of the Bridge Program.
Dr. Jeffrey Brown will be presenting on this incredible opportunity for students interested in pursuing a gap year(s) between their undergraduate and professional school careers. Dr. Brown is a Family Medicine physician at the Cleveland Clinic, and is on faculty at both the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine.
Attendees can expect to learn more about the Cleveland Clinic Pre-Health Bridge Year Program, as well as engage in a general Q&A about the medical and health professional school admissions process—what elements of the application should students focus on, resources available to students, reasons for wanting to pursue medicine, etc.
This event is being hosted in partnership with the Ohio State Pre-Medicine Club.
