
Join Special Agent Tom Carey on November 28th from 1:30-3pm in University Hall 056 for a conversation about careers with the U.S. Department of State. Both graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to attend and learn about the variety of professional opportunities at the Department (e.g., fellowships and internships).
Special Agent Tom Carey is a 16-year veteran of the U.S. Department of State. Tom has served overseas at U.S. Embassies in Caracas, Niamey, Baghdad, Kabul, Bangkok, and Islamabad. He has served on the protective details for Secretary of State Rice, Clinton, and Kerry; and also protected dignitaries Prince Harry, the Dalai Lama, and the U.S. Olympian team at the London Olympics. Tom is currently a recruiter for the Department of State Diplomatic Security Service and was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
