The Ohio State Humanities Career Exploration Fair provides a unique opportunity for students in humanities majors to connect with local employers, learn more about what those employers are looking for when hiring, and talk about how the skills developed in humanities classes can support post-college work.
Registration
Registration is not required to attend but is encouraged to help us keep track of attendance. You can register in advance through Handshake.
What to expect at the event
Employers attending the fair are eager to connect with current students and talk about how the skills that humanities majors develop are valuable in their organization or field. You’ll be able to learn more about specific organizations in the Columbus area, ask questions about the best skills to highlight on a resume or what cocurricular experiences are most valuable, and more.
Employer participants include: Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio History Connection, Ulliman Schutte Construction, Highlights Magazine, and more. This event is open to current Ohio State students and recent graduates.
Recommended dress
Although there’s no required dress code, we recommend business casual.
