Individual development Plans are tools you create for yourself to navigate your educational journey or career. In this workshop, you will reflect on your strengths, interests, and values to arrive at a plan that will help you map the course of action of your PhD. You will learn to create SMART goals that will help advance your professional aspirations. This is an interactive online workshop, where you will have an opportunity to participate and engage in small groups.
   
   This event is geared toward PhD students in Arts & Humanities and Social & Behavioral Sciences fields.
   
About the facilitator:
Pallavi Eswara(she/her) is the Director, Postdoctoral Affairs at Boston University since June 2022. In this role she manages both the administrative and professional development aspects of postdoc training. Prior to that she worked briefly at Northeastern University, Boston in Graduate Operations. Majority of her professional career was at Penn State University where she was the founding staff member in 2007 of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and led the office and postdoctoral professional development as Director from 2016-21. She has been invited to present on topics of professional development to both graduate students and postdocs. At Penn State, she also worked at the Office of Graduate Educational Equity. Pallavi has served in leadership roles in her community, and in various professional societies. Pallavi currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Graduate Career Consortium.
